“I can’t wait for the PSL to start. Being named PSL’s MVP and Best All-Rounder during the draft was a huge honor, I honestly am lucky that my career started at Islamabad United—a franchise that always looks out for its players. That’s why you see those three trophies here; it’s a team that prioritizes excellence and care for its players.
This season, my goal is to come back even stronger. While I was the Player of the Tournament last season, my focus isn’t on individual awards—it’s on helping the team win again. I’ve worked on a few things in the off-season, and I hope you’ll see the results on the field.
I’m also very excited to work with Saad Masood. He reminds me of myself when I was younger. We can’t guarantee him game time, but we can promise to look after him, guide him, and groom him into a future star. For us, the focus with Saad isn’t just this season but his long-term development.
We know the retention rules will change next year, and even if Saad moves to another team, we want to ensure he’s ready for the future. From personal experience, I can confidently say this is the best franchise for him, and his time here will only benefit him in the long run.”
