Islamabad, 25th November 25, 2025 – Islamabad United’s journey began in 2015 with a clear purpose: to elevate the standard of professional T20 cricket in Pakistan. A decade later, that journey continues with the same belief, ambition, and integrity that shaped our foundation. From day one, IU has been driven by four core principles: Excellence, Empowerment, Education, and Environment. The 4 Es that built our identity and continue to guide our vision.

As the first-ever champions of the PSL, Islamabad United set the benchmark for professionalism and performance. With the highest win percentage in league history and three PSL titles, the franchise has consistently pushed the boundaries of what a cricket team can achieve — not just on the field, but in culture, technology, innovation, and community impact.

Excellence

Excellence has always been the heartbeat of Islamabad United.

  • We were the first PSL team to adopt data-driven cricket, introducing advanced analytics into selection and strategy.
  • Under #UnitedWeTech, IU became the first PSL franchise to invite startups to pitch innovative ideas, creating a platform for Pakistani tech talent.
  • Islamabad United became the first cricket team to enter the metaverse, launching the U-Meta Stadium, digital collectibles, and blockchain-powered fan experiences in partnership with global tech leaders.
  • Our Cricket x Art collaboration with celebrated artist Imran Qureshi redefined how sport can blend with culture, creativity, and storytelling.

For IU, excellence is not static—it’s a constant pursuit of new ideas, new frontiers, and new ways to inspire.

Empowerment

Empowerment has remained central to our philosophy.

  • IU became the first PSL team to appoint an emerging player as captain — first Rumman Raees, later Shadab Khan, now one of Pakistan’s leading cricketers.
  • Through our Women Empowerment Drive, we integrated top national women players into training with our men’s squad and appointed them as ambassadors — a landmark move in PSL history.

Education

Our partnership with The Citizens Foundation (TCF) reflects our long-term commitment to education. By supporting quality learning opportunities for underprivileged children, IU continues to invest in the country’s future beyond cricket.

Environment

Environmental responsibility has been a defining part of our legacy.

  • Through the 1 Run 1 Tree campaign, IU turned on-field performance into climate action, planting trees for every run scored, the first sports-led environmental initiatives in Pakistan.
  • In partnership with WWF-Pakistan, IU has supported wildlife conservation and sustainability initiatives, including campaigns such as Save Our Snow Leopard and broader environmental awareness drives.

Islamabad United owner Mr. Ali Naqvi reflected on the journey:
