Islamabad United, the most successful franchise in HBL PSL history, is proud to announce its #UnitedWeTech initiative and partners with P@SHA (Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT and ITES) via The Nest I/O and The NIC Karachi and Peshawar.
This initiative will assist start-ups in getting visibility and brand recognition. The chosen startups will benefit from the unparalleled reach of Islamabad United, PSL and the game of cricket. The selected startups will be on boarded with ISLU for a year and will have the opportunity to showcase their products within the PSL season and throughout the year using ISLU’s exceptional brand recognition, great popularity, its top playing talent and massive outreach ability to help scale great ideas.
The #UnitedWeTech Challenge judging criteria is broken down into four sections all carrying an equal weightage (25 points each)
Solution/Product:
- Does the solution have a large addressable market
- Does the solution have a social impact
- Is the product solving a real pain point
- Is the product already deployed
Traction:
- Has the startup started generating revenue/impacting lives
- Does the product have users/customers
- Has the startup raised any grant/investment
Team Strength:
- Do the founders have domain expertise
- Is it a multifunctional team
- Are the founders passionate about the work they are doing
PSL Relevance
- Does the team have a product they can showcase during the PSL
- Can the team absorb and benefit from the traffic that will come their way through this campaign
- How does the product fit into the 4E’s criteria of Islamabad United – Excellence, Empowerment, Education and Environment.
