Islamabad United’s second match saw them facing rivals Peshawar Zalmi in the HBL PSL’s third match. With the Zalmi team winning the toss and deciding to bat first, it was up to the United bowlers to give them a show of a lifetime. A key feature in the bowling lineup with the returning spinner Saeed Ajmal who managed to nearly take a wicket off his first bowl of the tournament. Ajmal continued to show why he was considered the best off-spinner of the era by regularly troubling the Zalmi batsmen.
Fans also got to witness the skills of the emerging player Rumman Raees. Bowling a tight line, Raees halted the Zalmi scoring and even managed to grab a wicket by the end of his spell. He ended with great figures of 4-0-14-1.
